2017 FJ Race Weekender

Building on the success of the Borderline, and more recent Yorkshire Mates Race event up the park John and the FJ build crew have been out in force knocking up new jumps and features for our 2017 Race Weekender.  Online entries will available shortly and a limited number may be available on the day (depending on online uptake).

Online entry via bc website (going live soon) or enter on the day if there are spaces left.

£55 non members

**If you are planning to race just the sunday race you will not be albe to ride the tracks on saturday aswel. To ride both days you will need to enter both races**

Camping £8per person or FREE if your racing both races

8am Gates open
9.am – 5.30pm- Sign on
9.15 – 12.15 pm practice (DH track for sunday)
1.15pm Dual Slalom
2pm FJ Trails Dirt Jump Jam
3.30pm Bogie/soap box racing
5pm- 7pm Night race Practice
8.15pm Night race Starts

8am Sign on opens
9am 11.45am Practice
12.30 Racing Starts

Camping available on friday 8th & Sunday 10th for those wanting to stay.

Please note, all tracks will be closed to non-entrants during the course of the race weekend.

Under 18’s must have their parents sign them in whether a fj member or not.

Under 16’s must have a parent with them to camp.

All people attending the event are expected to behave in a quiet and respectful manor, particuarly within the camping fields. All rubbish should be taken home, sheep dont like chocolate wrapers!

This is open to anyone willing to have a go! £5 per kart with the money going to the winners.

Rules –
Any shape or size welcome!
Two man
One or two brakes
Steering (it will get asked!)
Re-cycled materials preferred
No pedal power- gravity only
No sharpe sticky out bits
Full face helmets and gloves
Disclaimer to be signed.

The Jam will be open to all entrants of the Duel Slalom / Night race and will be held at the FJ Trails dirt jump area to the top of the park. The Jam is also open to none racers on payment of a £5 fee and signing of FJMTB park disclaimer.

All riders must wear a helmet, adequate protection and have at least one functional brake.

The jam will be dependent on decent weather and a final decision will be made on Friday (Sept 8th) based on rain forecast (fingers crossed!)

Riding dirt jumps is a high risk activity and we strongly recomend you to do not attempt to ride if you are not experienced and proficent in jumping and “trails” style dirt jumping.

Spectators are welcome however we ask you stand clear of jumps and do not obstruct riders. Any persons standing in close proximity to jumps does so at their own risk.
